Grape: Ribolla nera 100%
Schioppettino is a wine of elegance.
It has notes of green pepper, spices, and slight hint of wild berries. The tannins are low, and overall a very well-balanced wine in flavor.
Schioppettino was consumed by nobility in the 1200s, which suggests its antiquity. Although considered an antique wine,
Gianni and Paolo Petrussa manages to keep its modernity intact.
Petrussa focuses on tradition and aims to make sure that their wine becomes a true reflection of the land it comes from.
