Grape: Timorasso 100%
 
This Derthona comes from ancient vines in the municipality of Vho. Vines are exposed at south-east with an altitude from 250-300m above sea level.
The soil have a majority of calcareous - clay.
Vines are up to 40 years old.
Colour is very clear, medium-intensity straw yellow colour.
At the nose, we have an intense, long-lasting, constant, persistent, floral and fruity with a smooth, warm sensation in a soft, elegant complex with final hints of flint.
At the palate is very typical, mild mineral hints that dissipate into chamomile, ripe plums, walnut and toasted almond in the finale.
Derthona as multiple uses, as excellent served throughout the meal, after dinner and as a “meditation” wine.
Comes into its own when served with full-flavoured cheeses and rival-less with shellfish in addition to elegantly accompanying white meats, meat pâté and vegetable pies.
